If
your school is unable to finance its CLC missions,
the following fundraising strategies may be helpful:
STUDENT
FUNDRAISERS
Candy bars, car washes, bake sales ...
these fundraising staples are effective because
they spread the financial burden among all students.
Instead of $600, students only need to raise approximately
$20-$40 each.
EDUCATIONAL
GRANTS
You can often find technology or career-awareness
grants in your community. Challenger Learning
Center missions emphasize real-world application
of classroom concepts in our high-tech simulators
and, therefore, qualify for these grant programs.
If you need additional information or assistance
while writing a grant, do not hesitate to call
the CLC, 309-661-1621.
COMMUNITY
BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS
Local businesses and organizations are
often untapped sources of support for educational
programming. Church groups, rotaries, Veterans
organizations and local businesses may be willing
to donate some or all funding for your CLC mission.
A CLC PowerPoint
presentation that you can use when approaching
community groups is available to download at the

PARENTS
AND GRANDPARENTS
Sometimes the best sources of funding are in your
own backyard. When parents and grandparents of
students understand the benefits of the CLC, they
are often willing to fund entire class missions
for their children or grandchildren.
